Ziptrak® stops and stays in any position without locks using a special spring balance system.
For extra ease of use, Ziptrak® is also available with remote operated electric motor, making a simple process even easier! Ziptrak® track guided blind system has specially designed slotted tracks in which the blind glides smoothly and easily, stopping at any position. The blind can be secured and locked in the down position to guard against high winds and UV
Ziptrak® blinds were designed as spring loaded blinds, which makes the operation of them much more simple and easy comparing to crank handle. Therefore, we do not recommend to haveZiptrak® blinds operated with a crank handle.
Only Ziptrak® blinds with SunScreen skin can be motorised, using 240V/AC tubular motor Strong wind can hold the skin of a Ziptrak® blind preventing it from sliding down the tracks, therefore, we recommend that motorised Ziptrak® blinds are supervised by the operator while they are moving.
Flexible PVC, used as skin, for Ziptrak® blinds becomes stiff in cold weather. This stiffness will prevent the skin sliding down the Ziptrak® tracks as it is maintaining its shape when it was on the top keyway tube. The PVC stiffness is not a problem with a manually operated Ziptrak® blinds, but in a motorised Ziptrak® blind, the weighted bottom rail cannot always overcome the PVC’s stiffness.
Ziptrak® blind, when installed according to Ziptrak® installation manual, can withstand wind of 100Km per hour, when installed according to Ziptrak® installation manual. Lower your Ziptrak® blind all the way down until it is locked, or open in all the way up, midway is the most vulnerable position for your Ziptrak® blind.
Maintaining the blind is important. Clean the blind with a soft cloth and soapy cold water. Allow it to dry
before rolling up. PVC blinds require special cleaning products.
Never apply full strength detergents, cleaning fluids, soaps, insecticides or garden sprays to the blind material.
Never allow petrochemicals or solvents to touch the blind surface.
Do not use a high pressure hose to clean the blind.
Do not use window cleaning detergents.
Do not allow bird droppings, dirt or stains to remain on the material.
